Citizen 3510
Received as an inheritance from when my father passed away; it was a gift from my mother to him when I was very young. I remember him wearing it every day for the rest of his life.
At one point I remember him working on our 1959 Simplicity Wonderboy garden tractor without disconnecting the battery. The watch band shorted the battery and heated up, welding to his wrist. He had to use a long flathead screwdriver to break it off of himself. While the band was destroyed, the movement still worked.
I’m currently working on cleaning it up and restoring function to it as it has since stopped allowing the time to be set. This article is to act as a compendium of information I’ve gathered in my research of the watch.
